Revealing your status to old friends

Well ove 20 years ago I was seeing a guy that I was feeling when I was younger of course but anyway things went on in both our lives but one for him he was going into the military. In my eyesight things in his life was too heavy for me to want to deal with. Anyway I got a request on a social media site from him I couldnt believe what I was seeing it was this guy from more than 20 years ago. Eventually after chatting on that site he called me from overseas. We talked about the past and what was going on in our present lives. He was having trouble in his marriage and he mentioned he got to thinking where did he go wrong and one his questions to me was “Why didnt we work”. Well I didnt have a logical explanation but he did ask me where I was relationship wise. So I started to expalin to him about my HIV status because I didnt want him to get ideas about a relationship with me without knowing. So revealed my status and he flet sorry for me but I stated to him I living a normal life just as anyone I jsut have sex a safer than maybe a committed couple would. Well this happened months ago and I have made a decision to go see him inTX in a couple of months. He says I cant predict the future but I do want to spend time with you for just the person that you are. He is not promising anything nor am I expecting anything. But i have to be open to the situations that are put before me. I believe there is a reason he contacted me and that I was on his mnd while he was fighting to stay alive and our country.
